Maruti Suzuki Registers Record : Maruti Suzuki has once again proved why it continues to be India’s most powerful automobile brand. In October 2025, the company achieved the highest-ever monthly sales in its entire history by registering a massive dispatch of 2,20,894 units. This achievement has not only strengthened the brand’s dominance in the Indian automotive market but also made Maruti Suzuki the country’s top-selling automobile manufacturer for the month.
This extraordinary sales milestone has become a major highlight of the Indian auto industry because it reflects the strong demand for Maruti Suzuki models even in an extremely competitive space. Multiple brands are launching new vehicles every month, new EV brands are entering the market aggressively, and customer preferences are continuously shifting towards more feature-packed and premium options. Despite this level of competition, Maruti Suzuki comfortably stays number one – which clearly shows that trust factor, performance reliability, resale value, and mass market acceptance of the brand remains unmatched.
The tremendous growth and sales jump seen during the festive period also became a huge booster for the brand. With heavy festive offers, rising interest in new launches, better finance support, improved production capacity, and increased public demand in both small cars and utility vehicles – Maruti Suzuki gained strong traction in all major segments.
Massive Domestic Sales Helped Maruti Suzuki Cross New Milestones
When we look at the domestic sales performance of Maruti Suzuki in October 2025, the numbers clearly reflect strong consumer trust and large-scale brand acceptance. Maruti recorded 180,675 unit sales in domestic market alone. This figure includes both passenger vehicles as well as light commercial vehicles sold within India.
The company also supplied 8,915 units to other OEMs (other vehicle manufacturers), which is another strong contribution that added to the brand’s total sales count. Apart from that, 31,304 vehicles were shipped outside India as exports. This broad and balanced sales distribution shows that Maruti Suzuki is not only strong in India, but the brand is also continuously building strong international presence.
Exports remain one of the key scale drivers for the company, especially in fast developing markets and growing automotive economies. Multiple countries across Asia, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, and Europe continue to demand small and compact Maruti models due to affordability, mileage advantage, lower maintenance cost, and long-term durability.
Compact Car Segment Continues to Remain a Strong Sales Driver
Maruti Suzuki has always been known for performing extremely well in the small car and mid-segment category. This trend continued in October 2025 as well. In the domestic passenger vehicle segment, Maruti Suzuki managed to sell 176,318 units in India.
The compact car lineup has once again played a major role in delivering high volume numbers for the company. Cars like Baleno, Swift, WagonR, Dzire, Celerio and Ignis contributed heavily and together they accounted for 76,143 unit sales in a single month. This category clearly shows that small cars still have extremely strong demand in the Indian market even in 2025.
Customers in India still prefer compact cars because they offer high mileage, lower ownership costs, better city driving flexibility, lower EMI + insurance expense, and comparatively more economical maintenance than premium sedans and SUVs. These factors make compact cars extremely strong sales contributors in India’s mass market base.
The Mini segment, which includes popular models like Alto and S-Presso, added another 9,067 units in the same month. Even though competition is rising rapidly in this category and many brands have stopped producing low-budget segment models, Maruti Suzuki still holds a strong grip in this segment because of existing massive customer base and trust built over decades.
Utility Vehicle Sales Witness Significant Surge
One of the most important reasons behind Maruti Suzuki’s record-breaking October 2025 performance is the rapid growth in utility vehicle demand. India’s SUV + Utility Vehicle category is now the fastest growing segment in the country, and Maruti is continuously investing aggressively here.
Maruti Suzuki’s UV lineup includes models like Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6. These models collectively achieved 77,571 units in monthly sales, which is extremely huge for a single category. This proves that Maruti Suzuki is now equally strong in UV segment just like compact cars.
With better features, bigger dimensions, premium interiors, powerful engines, strong safety upgrades and better technology integration – Maruti UV models are becoming top preference for Indian family buyers. A very large percentage of Indian families have shifted preference towards higher seating position, better ground clearance and multi-purpose vehicles – which is why Maruti is aggressively pushing UV expansion.
Apart from this, the Eeco – which continues to be one of India’s most dependable utility vans – added another 13,537 units in October 2025. Meanwhile, the popular Super Carry light commercial vehicle contributed 4,357 units to the monthly total. For small business owners, delivery startups, logistics service providers and micro-enterprises – Super Carry remains one of the most economical and efficient LCV solutions in the country.
Strong Sales Growth in FY26 April to October Period Also Recorded
The strong performance in October was not limited to one month. Even when we look at the combined sales period from April to October of the current financial year (FY26), Maruti Suzuki posted extremely impressive cumulative sales numbers.
In this 7-month period, domestic passenger vehicle sales reached 971,764 units. When we add domestic sales including OEM distribution and LCV contribution, the total domestic numbers reached 1,060,866 units.
Additionally, Maruti Suzuki exported 238,763 units during the same period. When we combine all domestic and export sales together, the total cumulative sales for the first 7 months of FY26 stands at 1,299,629 units. This shows that the brand is continuously growing with strong performance, increasing demand momentum, and deep market penetration across multiple categories.
